UCR fleet size is the total number of self-propelled commercial motor vehicles operated in interstate commerce as reported on the most recent MCS-150 update with FMCSA. Per 49 USC §31101 - the definition the UCR statute adopts at 49 USC §14504a(a)(1) - a CMV is any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating over 10,000 pounds, designed to transport more than 10 passengers, or used to transport hazardous materials in placardable quantities.
